Want a place to meet up with old acquaintances or network with your colleagues? This informal reception on Tuesday evening will offer music, light snacks and other entertainment. Complimentary shuttles will run to and from the Radisson throughout the evening for those attendees staying at that property.
5k Run/Walk

Tuesday, June 1
A 5K Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for Tuesday, June 1 at 1330. All participants must register at the Special Events table, located in the PDI registration area.
The event will take place at Two Rivers Park, appox 1/2 mile from the hotel. It will begin at the newly built pedestrian bridge which crosses the beautiful Cumberland River, winding through the Shelby Bottoms nature preserve and loops back across the pedestrian bridge.

Participants will be provided a shuttle to and from the run/walk. Shuttle buses will depart the center at 1300 and return by 1600. Participants will receive a t-shirt, and water & snacks will be available along the route. Registration fee for the run/walk is $8.00.
Volksmarch
Tuesday, June 1
A 8KM Volksmarch is available on Tuesday, June 1 at 1300 starting out at the Comfort Inn Downtown, Nashville. All participants must register at the Special Events registration table, located in the PDI registration area, between the hours of 1000 and 1200. This is a sanctioned American Volksport Association (AVA) Event. The registration fee for the Volksmarch is $8.00. Participants will receive a t-shirt, walking map and AVA credit (stamp). The walk will consist of Nashville downtown historic areas and the university, college and Parthenon areas. There are locations along the route for obtaining water, snacks, and toilet facilities for participants. Shuttle buses will depart the center at 1230 and return by 1600.
Community Service Project
Tuesday, June 1
The PDI 2010 Community Service Project will be helping at the Nashville Veterans Hospital. PDI attendees who volunteer for this pre conference activity will be taking a shuttle in the afternoon to the hospital and hosting an activity and/or working with current residents and veterans. More details will be provided to anyone who indicates interest in their registration process.

Charity Raffle
Wednesday – Thursday, June 2-3
Tennessee Lobby A
The Charity Raffle is an event that provides attendees the exciting opportunity to win unique chapter and sponsor items. Many great items will be available for the attendees with the winning ticket! ASMC Chapters must register in advance to participate and may submit three auction items; with a minimum value of $25 each. Chapters keep the proceeds for local charities or chapter programming, or may donate to the official PDI charity – Honor Flight Network. Chapters wishing to participate may contact Vanessa Sweet at sweetfamily@bellsouth.net for more details.
